Transforming Lives Through Hypnotherapy:
Your Journey To Wellness Begins Here

Can Hypnotherapy Cure Alcoholism?

Addiction to alcohol (otherwise known as alcoholism) is a heartbreaking and life-threatening disease.

It’s one of those addictions that can start very innocently, and then sneak up on you until one day you realize you’ve got a problem.

Drinking alcohol is more than a social norm in this country. It’s a way of life. Whereas once we watched TV characters chain smoking in our favourite movies and series, we now see them drinking a never ending supply of beer, wine and spirits.

The journey to destruction often starts out socially, or by having one every now and then to relax. Over time you find it harder and harder to stop and may start drinking earlier in the day, or hiding it from loved ones or colleagues.

Here are a few common scenarios:

  • Drinking beer (sometimes with smoking), between 6-12 bottles every night
  • Drinking wine every night, perhaps a bottle or more and going to bed drunk
  • Needing spirits (such as vodka and orange juice) every evening, and occasionally throughout the day

It’s only when you finally admit that you have a problem, can you see how much it is affecting your family, finances, and especially your body.

You decide that you need to stop, but it feels almost impossible. Your mind is in total discord: battling between what it’s used to, and what you want it to be.

But there is hope. You can beat the addiction, and I can help you.

Alcoholism is a disease of the mind: the result of doing the same thing over and over and finding powerful ways to justify it to yourself. Together we can break through that thinking, and give power to the new part of your mind that says, “No. I’ve had enough!”

During a hypnotherapy session we will focus on:

  1. How drinking makes you feel
  2. What triggers you to drink
  3. Your underlying reasons for drinking

There are many possible underlying reasons why you drink, and it’s important that we find and deal with these. For example, if mum and dad drank a lot then you are more likely to feel that (a) it’s acceptable and (b) it feels like home.

Perhaps you are very shy and alcohol makes you become the life of the party, or you are stressed and it helps you relax. Whatever the case, I will work with you to free your mind so that you don’t need alcohol to be who you want to be. You can just be it.

I’ve worked with hundreds of clients over the years, and achieved a 95% success rate in just 3-4 sessions.

Stop looking at life through an empty bottle, and start living it.
